Races
All 20+ races from Human to Mythical Asura and exclusive Ghoul and Oni — passive bonuses, rarity odds and reroll priorities for PvE and PvP.
Introduction
Races in Legacy Piece define your character's passive stat profile. With 20+ races from the common Human to mythical Asura and exclusive Ghoul and Oni, every race grants different bonuses to Max HP, Melee Damage, Damage Amplifier, HP Regen, Life Steal and movement. Races are normally obtained through a race gacha or reroll system, with higher rarity races being rarer and more powerful. Because your race is a long-term build commitment, knowing the passive tables and drop odds helps you decide when to spend a race reroll. The hub translates rarity odds into practical advice: when to reroll, when to keep, and which races quietly outperform their tier in specific content.

Core Mechanics
Races are a passive layer that multiplies your combat stats. The default Human race grants +5% Damage Amplifier, while epic and mythical races add larger multipliers across several stats. Your race is assigned through a race gacha or reroll token, with drop odds that scale inversely to rarity — common and uncommon races appear frequently, while mythical Asura and exclusive Ghoul/Oni are very rare. Because race bonuses are passive and permanent, they interact multiplicatively with your stats, Haki and gear. Reroll tokens let you replace your current race with a random new one, so players typically save rerolls until they know which stat profile their build wants (damage, survivability or movement).
Advantages
Races give free, permanent power that stacks with every other system. A mythical Asura granting Melee Damage +25% and Damage Amplifier +10% directly multiplies every melee hit, making it one of the strongest single upgrades in the game. Exclusive races like Oni and Ghoul add identity plus strong passives, and movement-oriented races help with farming and traversal. Because race passives are flat multipliers rather than level-gated bonuses, they stay relevant from early to endgame. This makes race rerolls a high-value currency — landing a top race is a permanent build upgrade. Because race passives multiply rather than add, upgrading other systems increases their value — so a strong race roll appreciates in power as you progress, making it one of the most efficient long-term spends.
Challenges
Races are largely luck-gated. Mythical and exclusive races are rare drops from the gacha, so landing Asura or Oni can take many rerolls. Rarity also means reroll tokens are scarce and expensive to obtain, forcing careful decisions. Race bonuses are also narrow — a melee-focused race like Asura is weak for ranged or support builds, and the Human default is only mildly useful. Because you can only hold one race at a time and there is no confirmed pity system, chasing a specific race can drain your reroll stockpile with no guarantee of success. Drop odds also change with events and balance passes, so a race that is rare today may become more common after an economy rework, making high-value rerolls feel wasted.

Quick Tips
Save race rerolls until you have decided your build identity — a damage race is wasted on a tank build and vice versa, and reroll tokens are too scarce to burn on indecision. Decide your build direction before spending rerolls — a damage race is wasted on a PvP tank and vice versa, and every wasted reroll delays your ideal passive profile.
If you pull Vampire early, keep it for farming — Life Steal +10% dramatically reduces potion costs during long grinding sessions, letting you compound your Money savings toward weapons and Haki. Keep a sustain race like Vampire during extended farming sessions — Life Steal cuts potion costs so the Money you save funds your weapon and Haki goals faster.
Track drop-odds announcements on the official Trello — if the developers publish race probabilities, spend rerolls when the chance of Mythical Asura is highest, otherwise save for events. Monitor balance announcements on the Discord — if a race is buffed or nerfed, the value of rerolling for it changes instantly, so time your spends to the patch cycle.
